Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav said that injustice, corruption and inflation has doubled in the ‘double engine’ government of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The people, no longer willing to put up with them, eliminated BJP in the first round of voting, he said.
Akhilesh, who was on his way to campaign for the second phase, stopped for a few minutes at the airport in Agra, where he told Indian Today that the alliance had already taken out Baba’s (CM Yogi Adityanath) heat.
“The current election is being held to save Uttar Pradesh and the country. This election will also help to preserve the country’s constitution and democracy,” said the SP chief.
Blaming the BJP government for the problem of destitute cows, Akhilesh Yadav promised to implement a new “Gau Seva” if SP comes into power.
The SP chief said that Dial 100 was established by the SP government to improve law and order.
“Since Baba’s accession to the throne, it has been changed to 112. If it is determined that an increase in the number of vehicles on Dial 112 is required, it will be done so that women can receive better protection,” he said.
Akhilesh Yadav further alleged that the BJP government only cancelled the teacher eligibility examinations and other examinations as part of a well-planned conspiracy.
“The BJP is seen campaigning for votes in the name of law and order in the state, although what happened to Hathras’ daughter during Baba’s reign is well known,” he said.
“If there had been a good treatment system in Hathras or its surrounding areas, that innocent girl’s life could have been saved. However, against the wishes of her family members, the dead body of that innocent girl was cremated in the middle of the night,” he added.
Akhilesh stated that he also attempted to contact the Hathras District Magistrate, but the District Magistrate did not answer the phone.
“Is this the law and order that Baba is extolling?” he asked.
Akhilesh Yadav said, “Similarly, a Gorakhpur businessman was beaten to death by police, but no action was taken. Today, in the second phase of the assembly elections, the bicycle is seen moving quickly. The bicycle will continue to move at the same rate in the remaining five phases, and the BJP will be completely eliminated from Uttar Pradesh by March 10.”
